The Green Diamond Tyre
The revolutionary GREEN DIAMOND tyre is a perfect compromise between a regular winter tyre and a studded tyre. It has a certain number of the advantages of a studded tyre but doesn’t have its numerous disadvantages. Tiny particles composed of quartz and aluminium oxide mixed to the rubber compound, assure a substantial better grip comparing to a regular tyre. However, the typical disadvantages of a studded tyre (noise, speed restrictions and highway prohibition) are no more present with the GREEN DIAMOND tyre. It has no additional noise, is authorised on the highway and has no particular speed restrictions, but provides extra grip.
Developed in Iceland in collaboration with the Icelandic police, the Icelandic road administration and Swedish and Germans university research labs, the GREEN DIAMOND tyre is the result of 6 years of thorough research and fine tuning. It encountered huge success in the countries where it has been introduced.
Considering the principle of a retreaded tyre itself, the ecological assessment is exceptional. The manufacturing of a retreaded tyre only needs 5 litres op oil in stead of 35 litres for a new tyre.
